Problem: Entrance tiles in desperate need of rejuvenation

After years of neglect , and a recent refurbishment of the office, the client was wanting a solution to the unsightly front entry. A costly replacement of the tiles was not an option.

Solution: Contact Performance Property Services Group.

We applied a heavy solution of U- beaut ( safety degreaser). It is a Biodegradable heavy duty degreaser. After allowing the product 30 minutes to penetrate, we moved the slurry to agitate the Terrazzo.

Gently machine scrubbed on slow speed then vacuumed all the slurry.
The final step was a concentrated pressure clean of the tiles .

Result:The images below showing the before and after speak for themselves!

Another job well done! Our client over the moon as a costly tile replacement has been avoided.

We often come across problems where poor cleaning methods create issues that require intervention. This situation is one of those. A new client in the Essendon Fields car precinct had a problem with a tiled floor.

Location: Essendon

The Problem: the floor was not coming clean after scrubbing. So, how did we fix it?

The Solution: heavily mop UBC from Cyndan to floor. We applied Bitu clean from Cyndan to stubborn scuff marks . Allow chemical 10 minutes to work. Scrub floor with blue pad using a T5 scrubber.

The Result: the results were above expectations!

Of course, going forward correct cleaning processes will prevent this problem reoccurring.

Cleaning poorly maintained tiles to bring them back to life

In our industry there are many challenges we face with rejuvenating all types of surfaces whether it be tiles, vinyl, carpets and the list goes on. In this instance a common area requiring tile rejuvenation was a challenge as the build up of  grime was stubborn.

We applied a product called crossfire which we found works wonders once you allow it to penetrate into the tile. Our next step was to use a slow speed swing buffer with a tynex brush to agitate the grime on the tile .
We then cleaned the tile with a neutral detergent called viewquick. The end result was pleasing and the client was over the moon. We did this for our commercial cleaning client in Richmond.

This issued occurred due to not using the correct chemicals to maintain the floor to a high standard. With all cleaning of any surfaces, correct procedure and product is the key to achieve the end result.

Rejuvenation of Terracotta tiles at Melbourne University.

The University of Melbourne is an old grand lady that requires cleaning techniques that respect its age and beauty. We are always aware of this in the course of any work we perform there. A recent example of this was the rejuvenation of some terracotta tiles.

Our Cleaning Process

Using cold water and our environmental friendly products the area is heavily mopped .
After 10 minutes we gently machine scrubber the area with soft brushes .
The area is then vacuumed with a wet and dry vacuum .
The tiles are then neutralised and allowed to dry.

Result : The terracotta looks rich and vibrant again.
